Publications

Besides a regular newsletter for members and non-members, the BFE is also committed to publish regularly (two times annually) a scholarly journal entitled Ethnomusicology Forum, formerly known as the British Journal of Ethnomusicology. Articles include studies of traditions as diverse as Manchurian shamanic drumming and Brazilian death metal, Ugandan church music, Indian and Western art musics, Scots pipe music and street busking in continental Europe.
